About this Walk

Join Malcolm Saunders from the Light Cellar to explore nature’s bounty! During this walk, you will be introduced to several very common yet useful species of plants that grow abundantly in the Calgary river valley that provide healing and medicinal properties. We will stroll through one of the lesser-known natural environment gems in our city with an eye for meeting plants in a new way.

Meet at the parking lot at the far bottom end of the neighbourhood. To get there, simply follow Valley Ridge Blvd and take a left on Valley Woods Landing. You will then reach the parking lot on the right hand side of the road.
