This tour will point out early businesses and who ran them starting from 1932 onward, to promote an understanding of life in early Critchley/Bowness. This includes:
- The amazing volunteer fire brigade and it’s role in public safety in our village in the valley.

Les Hamilton arrived in 1937 at age 4.5. Les grew up in this neighbourhood and resided here until his career caused him to move in 1958.
Inga Pollhaus has lived here most of her life and still resides in the West end of Bowness.
