Jane has a strong background in science, environment and horticulture combined with a passion for education, writing and public speaking. Her career has been focused in the areas of horticulture and the not-for-profit and small business environment.  Jane’s professional career began with getting her hands dirty, as Residential Crew Lead for Perennials Unlimited. Her work as Botanical Education Coordinator, and Manager of Continuing Education at the Calgary Zoo brought her experience in a wide variety of programming as an instructor and program coordinator. At Olds College, she managed the Botanic Gardens and Greenhouses, focusing on facility management, public gardens, and the connections with college programming and the larger community. Besides course content, you’ll find Jane’s past writing published in the Calgary Horticultural Society’s newsletter, The Calgary Herald, and The Prairie Gardener annual publication.
