About this Walk

This walk is a tour of the over 20 gardens and forested areas that make up the Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs. Developed and maintained by an ‘all volunteer’ organization, the gardens highlight what can be grown successfully in Zone 3 areas across Calgary and the prairies. In early May, we can see early bloomers including spring bulbs. Gardens include the Rose Bowl, which features varieties developed in Canada, Low H2O featuring native plants, and the labyrinth. Specialty gardens include Peonies, Shade and the Alpine Rock and Crevice gardens.

Meet at: Main kiosk by parking lot and ball diamond at the south end of the garden. 37 Silver Springs Dr. N.W.

The slope is gentle and the path is bark mulch so participants should wear good walking shoes (not open-toed). The path is not wheel chair accessible at this time.
