About this Walk
Welcome to Manchester YYC! We are a small hidden residential community woven into the industrial area. While our neighbourhood sometimes get missed, we are a tiny but mighty! Join us as we explore various locations within and get a glimpse of what Manchester is all about. Bring your comfortable shoes, water bottle and a sense of community. After the walk, we will have light refreshments in the community space where you can chat with our amazing Community Connectors – local residents building connections – and hear about the various upcoming initiatives and events, including creating an outdoor community activity group.

Fatema & Yenisell are two of three Community Connectors in Manchester. They work and live in the community, bringing various opportunities for neighbours to meet and connect. From hosting events such as Game Nights, Baking Events, Scavenger Hunts, Cultural Nights, and more – there is no shortage of things to do in Manchester because of the Connectors. They are both passionate about community and building an inclusive place folks can call home.
Christine is a community social worker and has been working in Manchester for over 3 years. Her role is to work with residents on various community development initiatives around social inclusion and community economic development. She is excited to be hosting a walk in Manchester this year, and to share with the rest of YYC how awesome this neighbourhood is!
