About this Walk
This walking tour will take you through the storied history of the community Currie. Once a hub of military action today it is a peaceful and bustling family oriented community. Spend 90 minutes with the Military Museums Foundation’s Educational Interpreters as we guide you through the past and into the present on this walking tour.
Guests will meet at the Military Museums in front of the Eternal Flame. Parking is free in our parking lot. Once we have all gathered we will begin our walk discussing the history of The Museums and surrounding Garrison Woods before crossing Crowchild into the community of Currie. From there we will stop and talk about various different buildings of Historical note as well as the battles from which the roads all take their names from. This is approximately a 3.5km walk on mostly flat paved ground. Sidewalks are unavailable in some locations so we will have to walk on the road/shoulder at various times.
