About this Walk
The neighbourhood of Mahogany is fifteen years old this year and like any teenager—trying on new identities while being confronted with change. Learn about the history and vision, development policy, thoughtful design, and early community building that gave Mahogany its start. This interactive walk will encourage participants to share their own experiences and dream together about the future of this rapidly growing suburb.
We will meet at the West entrance to the Promenade beside Chairmans Steakhouse.

About the Walk Team
Jane's Walks wouldn't exist without the help of our dedicated team of volunteers.
Walk Leader(s): Evan Spencer and Jordan Blasetti
Evan Spencer is currently serving as City Councillor for Ward 12. He is a former pastor and long-time volunteer in the neighbourhood of Mahogany. As an experienced community organizer, advocate, and leader his enduring passion has been building shared vision—particularly around the power and importance of neighbourhoods and the neighbouring relationship. His interest in making life better for his neighbours was his unintentional path to elected public service on City Council.
Jordan Blasetti is a supervisor at the Seton Library and current volunteer with the Mahogany Meditation Spaces Initiative. He is a former college professor and his graduate studies focused on the embodied human experience. His path has cultivated a keen interest in how the physical environment impacts mind, body and spirit.
Evan & Jordan are neighbours and enjoy firepit chats when the weather allows. Both are proud Mahoganites.
